Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in shaping future transit and transportation options in the region.

Hosted by the Bel-O-Mar Regional Council (Belomar), the open house will focus on the ongoing Multimodal Study, a key component of the updated Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP). The Multimodal Study evaluates existing transit services, including those provided by OVRTA/EORTA, and will recommend improvements for Transit Supportive Infrastructure (TSI), which encompasses bicycle and pedestrian facilities such as sidewalks, trails, and bike lanes. This study serves as groundwork for the 2050 MTP, a comprehensive plan addressing the transportation needs of Belmont County, Ohio, and Ohio and Marshall Counties in West Virginia.

The 2050 MTP will guide future transportation projects across the region, including roads, public transit, bikeways, airports, and freight infrastructure. Future opportunities for public engagement on the MTP will be announced soon.
